Proud of the kid today, spent a few hours at at Ben Avery this morning getting some outdoor practice done in the heat. She's got Nationals in July in Raleigh, NC so may as well get used to shooting in the heat. She was shooting lights out this morning despite the wind. Ended up scoring her final round at 341/360 averaging 9.47 per arrow. Kicked my butt...

Took this pic as she was out on the range, I'm just laughing at how her bow disappears against the background. I never would of thought of metallic rose gold as being a camo color.

Might want to consider humidity in difference inN.C. vs AZ.
Maya is young so maybe no difference to her, but not sure how humidity affects her equipment?

We"re flying in the day before, get used to the time difference and a little time to acclimate and sight in before it matters. But yes, heat, humidity, bugs, rain...

The shade in NC won't work like it does in AZ. That is were the difference in humidity will become quickly apparent. Good luck, glad to read things seem to be looking up again.

We had really nice weather the last couple of days. We setup our outdoor movie theater and had friends over last night. Temp was pleasant, but I still had to take a shower and change afterwards since I managed to sweat through my clothes just sitting outside...at night..in May.

Weather in Raleigh in July will be 95 degrees and very humid. But it will not be unbearable. Where is the event at? Take a pop up tent if there is no shade and y'all should be fine.

Do, Or do not. There is no try.

Florida boy here. There’s a heck of a difference for those used to desert “dry heat” (I.e. in Arizona) and what we experience in the humid South. It will be... interesting.
