Won by a landslide. Good for LA.

How do you pronounce the 3rd place guy's last name?

So a Primary election in Louisiana is for the actual office? Not for who is representing the party in the General election? Weird.

If there is one thing you should understand about the state of Louisiana, it's that the people there do things their own way, and most of that comes from the coastal region.

You should also know that Louisiana elects colorful characters such as Edwin Edwards and Huey P. Long and his brother Earl K. Long. Even made a movie about Huey, called "All the Kings Men."

I can't believe he got in the 1st primary. We were afraid Wilson might get all the Democrat votes and the GOP would split. I'm watching it over and over on local TV and smiling.

We are happy now Big Grin

And a movie about Earl called Blaze. Paul Newman played Earl and Lolita Davidovich played Blaze Starr. Colorful is an understatement.

The textbook for Louisiana history class in the 8th grade when I was there was "Every Man a King", it was a big book!

This is great news! I was hoping there wouldn't be a runoff with Wilson.

I saw one video clip of Wilson speaking while sitting in a car saying something about how we weren't going to be able to drive the way used to, something to do with climate change I guess. Nuts!

Congratulations LA, I hope this leads to Constitutional Carry passing in the near future. IIRC it died in the Senate last session.

Hoping many good conservative laws are passed now.

That may be the most, or second most, encouraging sign from this election.
74 1/2% of the voters didn't vote for a Democrat. Even with the Republican votes split somewhat, the Republican still won easily.

Looking at this and the New Zealand elections, one might be encouraged about the prospects for 2024.

The economy is not improving, but instead looks to get even worse and you know what that means for the Democrats.

The most idiotic thing I've ever heard of, is using tax dollars for charities.

Tax dollars are very expensive dollars.

Charity dollars are very cheap dollars.

The only exception would be "support" stuff. (Donating police support for parades, etc.)

I would guess he’s related to 4-time World Champion Steer Wrestler, Tyler Waguespack, who calls Gonzalez, LA his home.
