That’s funny. My first thought was “What are the Feds doing getting involved in a murder?” My second was “Maybe they have jurisdiction because it happened at sea?” I figured the reasoning would come out eventually, but I should have known how fast the hive mind would toss out the answers. I guess you have to decide whether it is better to hope that guy someday pays you and whatever other folks owe you money don’t decide you are a pushover or to write off his debt and make an example of him “pour encourager les autres.”

Personally, I think avoidance of the whole industry is a better plan, but to each his own.
