The first thing out of her mouth was...."Let's knock them off!". Yes her five siblings are a special lot. What's the difference between a large pepperoni pizza and my wife's siblings? A large pepperoni pizza can feed a family of 4. Not good thoughts near the holiday but based on self preservation. You have to cut some people out of your life because you can't help them, they won't listen to advice, and they will burn you to the ground if you let them close. Users, dope fiends, thieves etc. I told the wife she should go easier on them because she stole all the good genes out of the family. Every body probably has a relative or two that's a waste of skin....I have 5 in laws..We don't miss them.

Have you thought about moving and not leaving a forwarding address?

Merry Christmas!

Not good. Frown

Of my three brothers, one has made some pretty poor life choices, he called to tell me he was coming down to visit a few years back. I made sure he clearly understood he wouldn't be welcome.....because I expected his 'visit' would turn into 'long term' stay.

I love him, but boundaries had to be set.

Have a relative like that. She said "I want to be cremated and my ashes spread on the Atlantic Ocean, can you do that?"

"I'm free next weekend"

She didn't see the humor.

I must be one of the most fortunate guys in the world. My parents got married because they loved each other. I had one brother who was in law enforcement and I went for the big bucks. I was a high school teacher. Nobody in my immediate family was a drunk or a drug user or a child molester. We all tried to be productive and considerate of others. This is one of the things I am truly grateful for.
