Good afternoon, SF. Who's got a 100k-plus mile Volvo and would like a High Mileage Club badge to go with it?

The 1979 Volvo I had showed way more than 100K on the meter when I got it, so I'm not really certain when the badge came along.

Regardless, I don't still have the Volvo and I figure one of you guys needs this badge more than my bookcase needs it.

First "I'll take it" gets it.

I'd be a bonehead if I didn't ask for pics of your old Volvo, now wouldn't I? Let's see 'em!

God bless America.

We’ve got a sweet XC40 R-Design in a great color (Glacial Silver) but it has nowhere near 100k.

Thats a neat piece of Volvo memorabilia… good luck in finding it a good home.

Hi vthoky,

I'm your guy I have a 2013 C70 my daily driver with over 100k, a 1989 240, 1993 240, 1966 122, 1969 1800 and we just donated our 2007 XC90 to our Volunteer Fire department.

All of these vehicles have over 100K.

They make a mighty fine car, we are fans!

There is a 1994 940 with a bit over 100K sitting in my driveway, even as we speak.

I should probably give it a bit of exercise this weekend, it hasn't been driven for a while.
Wait -- I just re-read the rules, so I'll take it!

Oh, mercy!

Needabiggersafe chimes in first, but V-Tail comes through with a stick-to-the-rules attitude.

I wish I had two of these to hand out now!

V-Tail: email me your details, please, and I'll get this on its way to you.

Needabiggersafe: I think I've got an original never-used Volvo flexible-stem-mounted map light in a box downstairs. Would that be a fair consolation prize? Big Grin

That said, let's see that 122 and the 1800, man! A friend I grew up with was part of a Volvo family -- his dad had an 1800 and a 122, plus a pair of 145 (I think?) wagons. Cool old machines, they were.

God bless America.

My Sweet Bride put over 100k on her 94 850.
Actually turned the official 99999.9-->100000.0 in her work parking lot!!!

Much loved but it is now long gone.
It's rare to see a nice 122 running down the road around here these days. Almost never the 444/544 series except in vintage car shows.

You have mail.

I wish that our 940 looked half as good as nhracecraft's Volvos.

Back in June I had the S60 up in the air to install an IPD SS Oval Tube Exhaust... Cool

Even the underside of my S60 is in amazing shape!

If I understand the original post correctly, that badge is at least 42 years old. Vehicle life expectation was different back then, so yes, 100,000 miles might very well have been considered high mileage.

I received a message from The UPS Store, telling me that they had a package for me.

Picked it up yesterday.

Thank you!
