He has an excuse. He's just a country singer. Lol.

And a really good country singer, IMO. But an actor, he is definitely not.

good country singer is the best example of an oxymoron I can think of.

Dwight Yokum is a fantastic song writer, a decent vocalist, and a surprisingly good actor.

Quentin Tarantino in any of his parts in his movies. Jimmy Dimmick in Pulp Fiction was flat out terrible.

Maybe in American films but in his native films Jet Li nailed Fearless and Hero. Was it an award winning performance? No but it was far from the worst.

Haha this is who I thought of first! I like him and his movies, but he just doesn’t come across natural I guess? He is just basically a bad actor ha.

Bruce Lee is not Jet Li. They are both martial artists, but Jet Li is really a much better actor. When, I watch Lee's movies later in life, I can't believe how bad his acting was.

^^^^^^^^

He was never one of the more talented thespians in Hollywood. Oh, he had charisma and raw action talent to burn, but couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. Keanu Reeves is Lawrence Olivier compared to Lee. His shortcomings are very obvious in parts involving a lot of dialog, like the old Longstreet TV series

His part in Shawshank Redemption is very well done. Other than that he stinks.

Al Pacino everything past 2000 ish.

Every role has the same expressions, same verbal patterns, and same physical stances. It doesn't matter the movie he just does the same old shit.

Not from me you won’t. Pacino was the first name that came to mind.

I don’t know when it happened, and 2000 is as good a date as any, but he began playing the same character in every movie he was in.

It’s truly a shame because he made some classic films: Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon, and, of course, The Godfather I and II.

Talking about someone who always plays the same character, no matter the movie: Harrison Ford.

In Star Wars he's a rough, tough, two-fisted star ship pilot.

In Witness and Blade Runner he's a rough, tough, two-fisted big city cop.

Ok, maybe in those movies, that's the role.
But then

In Raiders of the Lost Ark he's a rough, tough, two-fisted college professor.

In The Fugitive he's a rough, tough, two-fisted doctor.

In Airforce One he's a rough, tough, two-fisted, president.

... stirred anti-clockwise.

Understood, however you said *any* of the action stars. Jet Li is definitely an action star who has put on decent performances, at least in the two movies I mentioned above.
