It's next level stupid. There was a couple page thread about it in January.

I've made it a point to either avoid doing business with or charge significantly more to anyone that sends me emails at my work with such ridiculousness.

I actually appreciate the warning that they're going to be a client I either want to avoid or charge a lot of money to deal with.

So....I'm in favor.

The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command. His heart sank as he thought of the enormous power arrayed against him, the ease with which any Party intellectual would overthrow him in debate, the subtle arguments which he would not be able to understand, much less answer. And yet he was in the right! They were wrong and he was right.

That would be absolutely hilarious if it wasn't actually happening.

I dont play the pronoun game and have no intention to. I will call them as I see them; if I can’t tell, I have no problem calling people “hey you”. I don’t care in the least if they think it’s offensive.

I would have found it helpful during a recent email exchange I had with an attorney from another country. I couldn’t figure out wether yes Ma’am or yes Sir would be appropriate based on that attorney’s name. I avoided it completely, but my emails certainly didn’t sound like me.

That being said, if John wants to be she, then I won’t play that game.

I ran across one person so far who had (they, them, theirs) or some such. I'm not sure the need. It was clear enough to me that it was a biological woman, with a strong bent to the masculine.

Androgynous sports wear in the work setting does nothing to clear it up. And now we understand why suits were downgraded and dresses discarded in an attempt to make us all more comfortable at work. I got plenty of whatsit's working retail. I do appreciate the folks just shopping instead of making it an open closet showing of their new found identity.

There's an old saying from a religious cult about that, dressing up like the opposite sex is forbidden and don't do it. When you consider the age of it's publication thousands of years ago then it might strike some with the idea this has been going on a long long time.

It failed then and it will again. Despite the current media trend to portray society as transgender and satanic, about 2% are, it's a tiny minority given an oversized presency by the media. Playing along with it in parens isn't professional, it's politics shoved in your face.

Kudo's to "thanks for telling me to fire you as a customer up front." That happens in commercial and retail a lot more than some think. I used to bid commercial construction and worked retail in auto parts. If people need to force their sexual identity on everthing they do its a major tell they are needing reinforcement for what they still don't accept themselves. I'm not going to enable their mental disorder.

My former company started “strongly suggesting” all managers include their pronouns in their email signature line to show they are an “ally”. This was after a manager conference / indoctrination they all went to.

We have the same at my company. So many woke people with their preferred pronouns - it's usually the ladder climbers or ass-kissers or senior leaders showing that they are supportive of everyone or so it seems to me. (although someone who supports everyone and everything isn't much of a leader to me but that's another topic)

I'd love to list my pronouns as (Sir, Sire, Your Majesty) but I'd lose my job in less than an hour.

Why stipulate that she was a biological woman? Just say "woman." It's ridiculous that we have to say that. All it does is concede to the left that there is something other than a "biological" male or female. Stop falling into their trap. It's male or female, man or woman, boy or girl...period.

What really appalls (and worries) me is that they're doing this to appeal to a tiny minority of the population.

The only possible justification that I can see, is to clarify an ambiguous first name, like Brooke (my younger step-son's name), Chris, Pat, etc.

Of course, the name could be preceded by "Mr." or "Ms." but that would be too easy, and would not be woke enough.
