Bunch of savages in this town |
Planning on taking a road trip to check out Altra firarms. They’ve gotten a lot of publicity recently. There latest radio ad states “prices so low, they make snowflakes cry”. https://www.altrafirearms.com/ Making a day trip out of it. Looks interesting. We’ll probably hit Grove City outlets for back to school clothes for my boys. Anybody been? Worth the trip, from Pittsburgh? ----------------- I apologize now...

Worth the trip. Use your GPS to find Altra, it's on a back road and set back from the road. The site looks like it's under construction, and it is, but the store is open. The store is a bunker accessible through an entryway built of shipping containers. Once in the store you will find a wide array of firearms and a very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Highly entertaining. FAR from politically correct. Don't worry about the Rottweiler, all bark and show. Check to make sure they are open before going. Two other shops in the area: Outlet Firearms (no website, about a mile from the Grove City outlets, google for directions) and Griffen (https://www.griffinarms.net/) I have had good experiences at all three shops. Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

My wife and I went up to Altra last Friday, they were having a Customer Appreciation Event. My wife heard their add on the radio and told me that she wanted to go. We went up - interesting store, lots of stuff. I thought that their marked prices were a little high... they were having a sale during the event though. We both felt that it was worth our time, but then we like to go to different gun stores and ranges. Stopped at Outlet Firearms on the way back. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

That looks like a great place!! RMD TL Davis: “The Second Amendment is special, not because it protects guns, but because its violation signals a government with the intention to oppress its people…” Remember: After the first one, the rest are free.

Looks like a great place with great owners. I’d sure drive a few hours to see it. But it’s hardly in North Central PA. Looks like the Ohio border is 60-70 miles away, or less. Now if you are ever truly in NC PA stop in at Elk County Arms & Ammo in St. Mary’s. Good folks, good prices and a good brewery is maybe 1/2 mile away.

I give it 2 thumbs up. It's about 90 minutes away, but the return trip was horrible, took almost 3 hours back to Pittsburgh. Construction, traffic, construction, traffic... They pretty much have everything you'd want. Except .50cal ammo cans, they were sold out. LOL. If you are ever in the area, it is definitely worth the trip. We did pass Outlet Firearms but didn't stop. My son was getting anxious to get to the Adidas Outlet Store. ----------------- I apologize now...

If you do stop in St. Mary's, PA, do visit the local Straub brewery for a tour and sample some of the best beer on the East coast. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".
