I've been using a wheeled computer bag to date. It had a partition in which I carried ammo in their boxes (50 round boxes); I carried about 6-8 boxes. Also about 6-12 magazines. Lower number if I'm just using 1 caliber; higher number if I'm using two calibers (ie - 9mm and 10mm).

Another partition would be used for pistols - up to 4 at a time; 2 easily, 4 if I stuffed it.

Also had room for targets (shoot n see; printouts of the dot torture). And some small tools.

This was a bit heavy so having the computer bag w/ skate wheels was nice. (as long as the range was paved; not so much for dirt).

The wheels broke today. I'm looking for a replacement and checking w/ you guys use.

1. Wheeled bag (backpack too heavy)
2. Partitions for ammo, pistols, targets as above (ie - tool box or suitcase not ideal; I have plenty of those).
3. Not expensive (definitely less than $100)
4. Not too large (airplane carry on size or smaller - about the size that can fit under the seat in front).

I used to use a backpack but it started to get too heavy for these old bones.

What I use when I go to matches is a Zuca Range Cart...same idea as the Disc Golf cart...but it is a bit more than you'd like to spend

Something I'm seeing more at the range is the Stanley mobile tool box

I like the Zuca - what model is it? I can't see to find it. Was trying to check availability, store and price.

ETA: okay, I found something similar - holy cow - $300???? I guess if I went to the range/competitions every week, or at least every month. But more infrequently is hard to justify. Still, I'll consider it. I like the big wheels.

Ideal if I could find something similar for less than half that price....

I bought one of these Milwaukee Tool Rolling Tool Chests and a Matching Tool Tray that attaches to the top of the box.

I went with the Milwaukee, using the "Buy Once, Cry Once" SIG Forum shopping method, there are many cheaper similar Rolling Chests.

I have a stanley rolling tool box that I used. But the bottom being plastic got a hole in it as I was rolling it across gravel and concrete. I went with a metal rolling tool box.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." The one pictured is by S3. The one I use is from Saratoga Horseworks

It is a bit spendy, but having a cart that carries all my stuff neatly organized and allowing easy access, rolls easily across uneven ground, and has a built-in seat becomes a easy trade off as you get older.

I did balk for a while at the price of the Pelican case (1637) needed to transport it when flying across the country, but when you're already spending that much to get to a match, what's another $300

That's why I included the suggestion for the rolling toolbox. If I only went to ranges where they had available seating, that might be the way I'd go

How do you feel about something like that:

I know it's big but it can be disassembled for storage/transport and custom configured with other boxes and the price is right.

I like the Zuca options but they are just out of my budget. Cool that the top is seat - I didn't know that.

Looking at tool box options. They seem pretty pricey too though.
