I Am The Walrus |
With a couple of kit lenses for decent price. Will replace my Nikon D90. The bulk of the DSLR made me not want to bring it anywhere. Doubling my megapixels. I think the A6000 came out in 2012 or 2014? Either way, it’s an upgrade over my D90 which I bought in late 2011, I have some good lenses with the D90 but will likely list it for sale. Just wasn’t used much past few years due to size and weight considering I have an iPhone. I was not very keen on the Sony cameras, I had one many years ago when they were still forcing you to use their memory sticks. That turned me away from Sony for many years. Anyone else have a mirrorless Sony camera? _____________

Spiritually Imperfect |
I do media production (video, photo) for local advertising and marketing agencies as my second job, using Sony mirrorless cameras. Specifically, the A7III. Prior to that, I had made most (if not all) of my living over three decades using Nikon DSLRs. I love Nikon cameras. However, the Sony A7III changed all that. It is the best all-around camera I have ever owned and used. The only area lacking on it is Sony's arcane menus, but I'm now accustomed to it and can navigate where I need to be, quickly. The conversion from Nikon to Sony was (is) expensive, due to having to buy all new glass. I have a mix of Sony G lenses (24-105, 70-200) and Zeiss Batis lenses (85mm, 18mm), and some Rokinon cine lenses. In short: you will enjoy your A6000. I have considered adding an APS-C Sony body this year, and new A6600 will probably be it (maybe an A6500). Enjoy your Sony!
