I bought the KardiaMobile 6-Lead Personal which takes a CR2016 battery. Searching for replacement batteries on the web, I learned the meaning of the digits.
The first two, “20”, indicate a diameter of 20 mm.
The last two, “16”, indicate a height of 1.6 mm.
So the same diameter as a CR2032, but half the height. I learn something new every day.
Serious about crackers.

I too, seem to learn something new every day, on SIGforum. Thanks for that!

Hmm could I stack 2x 2016 where a 2032 is called for?
These go to eleven.

If the voltage of the 2016 is half of the 2032 you can. If not you are overpowering the device.

Its all a communist plot to make us give up inches and become "Euro-weinnes". Next it'll be CR123s

It may deeply hurt your soul to learn that the US is already on the metric system... All our standardized measures are defined by fixed metric standards, just with an added conversion step to get to imperial units:

In addition the "CR" tells the battery type and shape
example: CR2032
C = Lithium Primary R = Round 20 = 20 mm diameter 32 = 3.2 mm thick.
this is for the button cells. For CR123 or CR2, well, those aren't button cells.

The hell you say. What, are you some type of commie?
fun fact: as a teenager I had a portable Motorola radio that took 67 volt batteries. yup, 67 volts from one battery.
I also have a large collection of old transistor radios, and sadly many of them use batteries that just aren't made any longer. It's like having a gun that you can't get ammo for.

This is my all-time favorite take on the standard vs. metric system argument.

Then there’s this: A half liter of beer isn’t enough. A liter of beer is too much. But a pint of beer – that’s just right! (Meaning a British pint.)

2016 and 2032 are both 3 Volt batteries, so stacking two ea. 2016 would give 6 Volts.
Example: Laser grips for my wife's revolver. Red laser needs 3 volts, so it uses a 2032 battery. Green laser needs 6 volts, so it uses a pair of stacked 2016 batteries.

Not just the button cells.
18650 is 18mm in diameter and 650mm in length, etc.

I've still got a Zenith Transoceanic that uses two batteries, a 90 volt and a 10.5 volt.

650mm is about 25.59". That's a pretty looooog battery.
I think you meant 65mm long.
