How did our Louisiana brethren fare in the hurricane?

One of my buddies had a catastrophic crack overnight on his Harbor Freight Predator generator:

We're ok. The roof that was replaced after hurricane Ida hit us held up well.

We lost power overnight. The generator wouldn't start this morning, it has a fuel leak.

About a half an hour after trying to start the generator power was restored.

It could have been much worse.

Crestview, Fl here, sorry to barge in. We had wind and lots of rain. We had a tornado at 0600 but thankfully it was on the test range. I'm hearing from coworkers that some lost power but Francine was mild this far east.

I’m an hour closer to NOLA than XD45 and we also had good rain and wind overnight. No damage. Lost power in middle of night but I have a whole house generac that runs on natural gas. Don’t even know how long it ran didn’t hear it only reason I know is clock on microwave was blinking. Stove clock has a backup battery. I checked the rain guage and we got 4.5 inches in 24 hours

All good here. Power flickered a few times but never completely went out. The only time I thought it may I got to getting the generator going. By the time I flipped the interlock and started the genset power was back. Surge came in late, about midnight. Put 3ft water on the street it never came close to the house.

Mainly a wind event. Doubt I got 2” rain. Lots of tree debris (46 palm trees, 3 live oaks). Clean up already done

We have staff in LaPlace and they were without power for a couple of days and had several inches of water in their homes.

This time of year is so stressful here in the Gulf Coast...
