One of my sinuses was crushed. Doesn’t cause too many issues, but does cause some, at times. (I’m fortunate that it’s not really visible, though it’s easily felt - benefit of being pudgy, I suppose.) The last time it really gave me issues, the ENT made some suggestions to cope with it, and laid out that the surgical repair would be quite invasive, and suggested trying to cope as long as possible. I don’t know how to keep track of advances in repair, but it seems like a useful thing.

. Interesting advice your ENT provided, I've always thought the younger a surgical patient the shorter and easier the recovery. Although, not really sure how physical therapy for post-surgical sinus repair might include? ![]() I hope this improves for you!!! .

Here is what I know having worked in pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Certain diseases have their own message boards just like SigForum. where people around the world gather to share news, hope, support, etc. Those people know more new stuff and quicker too than most specialists because the specialists are busy dong their everyday work of treating people. The specialists may get to a conference once a quarter at most but these people share the latest treatments across the world. There are also boards for industry insiders usually sales people to bitch and moan about their companies. We were encourage to monitor both types of groups. In my role, it was just to gather information to enhance my knowledge, I suppose other people were given specific tasks in monitoring these boards. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I was in my…. Late 20s? Now in my mid 40s. I was told at the time that it was too crushed down to insert an endoscope/stent (The hit crushed my sinus, broke my septum and a tooth), so the only repair method was to remove my face, repair the skull, then reattach my face. However, it’s gotten to the point where I have to be fairly careful, and if it sets in, I have to go to a very hot climate for a couple weeks to clear it up. (Need dry, 95+). Got married and a baby is coming and suddenly my own health has become important as well.

I use a navage to keep mine clear and it works amazingly well. Not sure what the effects would be for you if there is truly no way for the water to cycle through the sinus. Does crushed mean nothing can pass through it, or it is smaller than it should be? __________________________ The entire reason for the Second Amendment is not for hunting, it’s not for target shooting … it’s there so that you and I can protect our homes and our children and and our families and our lives. The rinsing works as long as I keep up with it/use it a few times a day during pollen season. Unfortunately, it means pollen still gets in but it’s hard to get out, which turns into infections, which then spread to my lungs, and then I have to deal with bronchitis etc until I get to a hot climate. It wouldn’t have made a difference, but I’d really love to have a “word of prayer” with a certain young idiot who didn’t plan to live past 45.

It's been 20 years. A lot has happened in medical technology since then. I suggest you see an ENT in a high-quality medical center where they have access to the latest technology. They can tell you what alternatives you have and what is coming down the road. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

I don't see many benefits of being pudgy. Short of opening your face, you might consider adopting an anti-inflammatory way of eating whether you label it keto, carnivore, ketovore, whole food or paleo. It's been years since I've woken up with a stuffy nose or a case of rhinitis. It may be crushed but maybe if it's healthy otherwise, symptoms will be attenuated. I only wish I could have adopted the way I eat in my 40s.
