Nearly 5500 nukes... massive mineral wealth.... potential staging ground for a Western front against China. I don't see Russia with Reagan glasses and Trump doesn't either.
It behooves the US to form strategic partnerships with Russia if for no other reason than China is.

In WWII, in about the same amount of time, the then-Soviet Union had gone from near-defeat to being on the offensive, retaking most of their lost territory and making the moves on Berlin. Modern Russia can't even take Ukraine.
Exactly.
Cool, Russia has a lot of resources, cool, Russia has (allegedly) a shitload of nukes. But still, they haven't been able to take Ukraine, they've just wasted a lot of blood and treasure beating off into a meatgrinder, and
that's who we're gonna align ourselves with?

abnmacvRussia is a looser country under the control of a mafia like collection of mega-business interests headed by Putin. Putin will one day go but the underlying collection of power will remain. US should never consider joining forces with this mob. US should double down on the future of warfare. Ukraine is the test of drones and their application. US needs to modernize its electronic, air, water and land warfare approach.

Eastern Russia/Siberia is theirs, unless Russia deploys nukes.
