I am seriously proud of my bother-in-law. He is now a federal judge in Texas and this has been a several year process. He was first nominated by Ted Cruz and then after he passed the FBI background check President Trump officially nominated him. He then went through the Senate process and was confirmed. Yesterday was his swearing in so we went there to be with him. I am so very proud of him and he is such a good man who will make an honorable judge.

I tried posting a picture I took of him right after he got his gown and was standing at his seat, but apparently it won’t post. I have to find a new way to post pictures as all seem to be shutting down.

Yes, it is. Congrats!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Fun fact. He has a trap door where he sits so if he gets tired of sitting he can open the trap door to stand and still look like he is sitting. It was pretty cool to see the behind the scenes of a federal courthouse and judge’s chambers. Previously, I have only testified in federal court. Now I got to go check everything out including sitting in his chair.

Wow. That’s cool. Congrats Hopefully he’s an originalist. One of the greatest legacies of President Trump will hopefully be his changing of the federal judiciary. I do hope he gets a few more names on the Supreme Court before he leaves office.

That's awesome, congrats to him. And nominated by President Trump "DJT 45" is extra special.
