bald1The optional lens settings are unique. I've shut off MSM responses for now to see how that goes.

RipleyI use the Brave stand-alone search engine.
As I don't do a lot of comparing, maybe this is common, Brave search gives a summary at the top of results that generally gives answers I need. If more detailed or nuanced results are needed, they're right below as always.
I like Brave browser and am happy to support their search engine.
**edit** I see Luxxie does that too.

ensigmaticFor most of my research/inquiries I now use the Grok AI.
When I do use a search engine I use Brave's.

Doc something about the cold AI answers finally wore me out. Plus the rare completely out of date response. Don't know how else to explain it. FWIW Luxxle has an option to get an AI answer or not.

I see I'm in good company.
What I get from Grok is a written analysis of the question with sources. No ads, no bumped-up search results; Wikipedia not at the top of every search.

Yes, it does.
But I
think you no longer have to have a paid account? <asks Grok...>
quote:
What kinds of X accounts have access to you, Grok?
Currently, access to Grok on X (formerly Twitter) is structured based on account types:
• X Premium+ Subscribers: These users have full access to Grok without the limitations that apply to free accounts. This was initially announced by Elon Musk for X Premium+ subscribers as soon as Grok was out of its early beta phase.
• X Premium Subscribers: These subscribers also have increased access to Grok, with the ability to send more questions per day compared to free users.
• Free Users: More recently, Grok has been made available for free to all users on X, but with certain limitations. Free users can send up to 10 messages every two hours and can analyze up to three images per day. However, to access Grok for free, accounts must be at least seven days old and linked to a verified phone number.
This structure suggests that while Grok aims to be widely accessible, there are tiered benefits based on the subscription level of the account.
I have a Premium account. I've never run into any limitations.
