When I open up the SIG page on my pc, this is what comes up -

We're sorry, but your IP address (72.14.201.106) has been banned by this community. This means that you may not login or register as long as you are online with this IP address.

I go back, and try again, and get on as usual.

This started last weekend, and is now every time I try and log on.

Can anybody explain it for me?

TIA

You're not holding your facial expressions the correct way. Or try holding your right arm up in the air, works for me

See if you can release and obtain a new IP for your router/modem using the "admin" application.

If not, contact the ISP and ask them to assign another IP in their netblock.

That IP is blacklisted for spamming/exploits. A lot of third world Yobs are all over EU mucking things up for everyone.

You may also want to run Malware Bytes and/or other utilities to check your PC for bugs.

You should be fine now.

sigmonkey is correct. That segment was blocked. I've removed the block.

The biggest source of spammers and scammers, and the place in the world which is most heavily blocked here?

Nigeria? No

China? No

Russia? No

India and Pakistan, the largest scammer cesspool of the entire world.

Those places being the leaders in scams is no surprise after all of the spam / scam calls on the telephone.

That sounds really annoying! I've had a similar issue with forums before where my IP got flagged for no reason. I found that resetting my router helped me get a new IP address, which fixed the problem. If that doesn’t work for you, it might be worth shooting a message to the admins to see what’s going on. They usually have a better idea of why someone’s IP might get banned.

I can understand why you didn't read the thread. Having to wade through seven replies is a living Hell.

Yes, unlike being assailed by "Larry Jones" from Mumbai every day in this forum, trying to get you to invest in bitcoin and time-share condos.
