Congratulations wishfull thinker!

Thank you to all those who have served this beautiful and wonderful country.

Thank you to 12131 for your continued generosity.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Hi SgtGold - apologies for the delayed response - have been on a road trip and finally got to check my favorite website today.

Yes - the family was quite proud of Uncle Bill and knew of the reputation of the 1SSF. Due to geographical and age differences, I only ever got to talk with Bill a few times about his experiences.

He grew up working on his stepdad’s (my grandfather) ranch in western Nebraska in the ‘30s - probably not an easy life, but did qualify him as an outdoorsman when he volunteered for the Force.

I saw your email in your profile and can send you more information/stories about Bill so I don’t hijack this thread. Thank you for noticing his insignia, we still talk about Bill even though he has been gone for about 20 years now.

Cheers -

OVW
