My sister…who can only be described as a hot mess, is claiming she had a stroke late last night, She could tell me that she was standing in front of my and I’d be inclined to think she was lying, so my initial react to her stroke claim is, ‘yeah, whatever’. Her son called and told about it this morning and said she is being told she will be released later this afternoon. Really? ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Could be a TIA. They give her some meds and then she's out. Happens a lot like that.

Probably a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), sometimes referred to as a "mini-stroke". Depending on patients, but the rest of the work-up can be done outpatient. Q

I was in the hospital for three days after mine taking every test imaginable. The tests stopped when a sonogram was applied to my neck and they found the torn artery and began me on warfin to thin my blood. Fast forward two years and I was having he same symptoms, wife took me to the ER, and while describing the symptoms to the doc, my symptoms disappeared. He held me for another 30 minutes and called it a TIA and released me. "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor.” Robert A. As said, yes if a TIA. My Father had one and was kept overnight because of his age but he was released the next day. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

She was admitted with a BP of 181/121 As of today she is sitting at 178/111 and that’s in the hospital. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

May be more than a TIA if her pressure is that high and she has not been released from the hospital.

Simple fact is they want to get you out of the hospital as soon as possible.... it has to do with statistics... More people die in hospitals than anywhere else and so the chance of you dying while there is greater than being at home or even riding in the car to home. I had the big one 3.5 years ago.... total blockage of my main artery for right at two hours... they stuck a stint in me and I was home in just under 5 days.... doctor wanted to send me home right at 4 and I could barely walk..... I just sit here genuinely confused as to how her blood pressure could be this high for two consecutive days in the ICU. Other than that sticky wicket, she appears to be completely fine. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
