They won't leave. Most are no doubt well to do, and the $8 is like the penny we see on the convenience store floor. Near every one can't be bothered with it and just walks on by. Lack of the check mark doesn't restrict posting, it merely indicates you've given more personal information to twitter then the average Joe. A status symbol. So pay or just be one of the little people on Twitter.

And although I understand that it’s satisfying to rant about the left’s falsehoods concerning things like this, I hope that they are just rants and not belief that the people like AOC who are complaining about its restricting freedom of speech actually believe themselves what they’re saying. There are two primary groups that a lying propaganda message like that is aimed at. But first, it’s not intended to change the mind of anyone who already detests people like her, and who knows exactly what they’re doing.

One group is those on the left who approve of anything that increases their influence. Just as the tenets of Islam say it’s okay to lie if the lie promotes the religion, there are many on the left who can’t be stupid enough to actually believe the propaganda, but they will endorse it as long as it supports their agendas.

The second group is the mindless sheep who will accept that the statements are true as long as they’re made by someone they like, or at least have heard of, and they don’t have to think about it too much.

Elon Musk is reportedly scrapping Twitter's monthly, companywide day off established during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bloomberg reported that Musk has removed "days of rest" from employees' calendars, citing sources familiar with the matter. In addition, the billionaire reportedly plans to cut 3,700 jobs, or half of Twitter's workforce, cancel the social media giant's remote work policy, with some exceptions, and have staff return to the office full-time.
