RightwireHuntington Beach PD loses a helicopter over Newport Beach
It appears around 6pm PST HBPD lost one of their helicopters in the water off Newport Beach.

The helicopter was visible between Lido Isle and the Balboa Peninsula, according to the station.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

RightwireWhen I posted originally reports were the aircrew survived and were being rushed to hospitals for treatment. Very sad that this turned out this way.
