I was taking a front seat out of a 95 Mitsubishi Montero (loved that car btw) to install an amplifier under the seat. I couldn't get to one bolt with a racthet and had to use an open end wrench. I could only get a a few degrees of movement so I was doing the classic turn, flip the wrench, turn, flip the wrench, over and over and over. took me about 30 minutes to get the bolt out. When I flipped the seat up to access the bottom, I saw a very peculiar hole about the size of a socket needed access the bolt placed very conviently above the bolt. I called myself an idiot and only spent 10 seconds putting the bolt back in during installation. I just wish everything was that easy these days. I recently replaced engine mounts on my wife's SUV and looking back on it, it would have been easier to just remove the engine as step one. ____________________ I Like Guns and stuff

I have one. I had driven my Ford Crown Vic over to my best friend's house so that we could replace the intake manifold gasket in the comfort of his garage. We both dove into it, removing everything that was in the way. The gasket replacement went smoothly and once it was done, we started it up and it would not run smoothly and barely idle. We thought we had checked everything but finally gave up because he had an appointment that he had to attend. It was balky on the ten minute drive home and I was stumped. That night, I awoke from a dream where I had remembered disconnecting a vacuum line or PVC hose (I cannot now remember which) on the firewall but did not recall hooking it back up. The next morning I looked behind the engine and sure enough, there was the line hanging down between the engine and the firewall. Once it was reconnected, it idled and drove smoothly.
