How do I get a vehicle value for an estate situation
I am trying to help an elderly person who needs to provide an entity a printed evaluation on value of a couple of vehicles. I have the vin. I tried KBB but wanted a bunch of personal info to send an offer. That is not the bs I am looking for. Any fairly simple suggestions. Thanks guys.

I just go to NADA/JP Power's site. Just need make, model, mileage, and you get retail and wholesale trade.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

I use Carfax but my account was set up by the dealer I last purchased from. Don't know if you can use it without an account but I don't pay anything for it.

When we were valuating my wifes MKC I found that the online services will want personal information at least an email name, etc.

After you get your value, you can opt out of future contact from them, haven't gotten an email from them since, the three listed below did not spam me after opting out.

I know it's not what you said you were looking for but IMO it's a good way to get what you want for free without dealing with dealers.

Best choices for values are the buy-out firms, although you'll need to sign up, so the data will be asked for, now, you could give them a fake name and phone number and setup a proton email so the follow ups will go there, but they'll want to validate your sign up.

CarMax, TruCar, Carvana, I found Carvana to give a bit higher valuation, using all three you could get a spread and decent valuation number in writing.

Thanks guys. Is "Been Verified" a scam?
They want $1 for a membership to see results. They were tied to the nada site?

Sendmethevin.com makes actual cash offers on vehicles. They offered me a very strong amount for my 2017 Tacoma when I was considering selling it a few months ago and buying something else. I ended up not getting the car I wanted

The real question is who/what is "an entity" and why do they need or care about this?

If their estate is less than $15MM, you can be off by $100,000 and it won't matter.
If their estate is only the car, also won't matter.
Everything in between - also irrelevant unless we are valuing this as part of an inheritance to be split and the car is say, a 50's gullwing.

That's just a weird thing to even be worrying about. If they are making this as a charitable contribution would be the only logical reason to care, and even then the entity won't care, only the individual. If they won't be itemizing, even that is irrelevant.

This is very important.

NADA is my go-to
Most county tax offices, or maybe state, should have a presumptive valuation tool.
Givemethevin, as mentioned above. They run a radio show every Saturday. Haven't used, but have heard of them quite a bit.
