I think it is great. I got a giggle every time she had to duck under the seat belt to reach a switch.

She did better than I would. Because I would want to roll it. Can you roll one of those?

Kids these days experienced with so many video game systems adapt to this kind of stuff easily. Still it is amazing to watch.

Do you remember Jessica Dubroff? The seven year old "pilot" who died, killing the adult on board, in 1996?

I watched that great video and realized it's one of several:

It's not the same. No one is trying to set a silly "Youngest pilot to..." record and no one is pretending she's pilot in command. And no one is pushing her to take off in lousy weather.

Jessica's last name is not that common.

My paternal grandfather immigrated to the U.S. from Russia. His name was Max Dubrov -- changed to "Dubroff" by immigration clerk at Ellis Island.

Think about it.
An unanswered question: Most jet airplanes are certified for two pilots. Some, not all, Citation models may be flown single pilot, but only if the pilot is certified for single pilot operation in that model. Was this flight conducted in compliance with regulations? Not enough information to answer that question.

I can still remember the trend of younger and younger kids flying airplanes. I thought the FAA put a squash on the trend.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I’m sorry that you lost what may have been two relatives. Any aviation accident is sad. It’s sadder when relatives or friends are involved.

The PIC (instructor) made some very poor choices that morning. I don’t know who was pushing for the record, but the instructor should have been the adult in the room and said, “No.” His failure to do so cost three lives. Frown

I was thinking the same thing. Big Grin

Imagine boarding your next airline flight, glancing through an open cockpit door and seeing that. Big Grin

I've really come to hate flying in my old age. But she makes it look so same fun. I guess it is the difference between actually flying the plane and getting crammed in the back with several hundred people for hours on end.

Imagine being the ATC and hearing her voice over the radio. Big Grin

That is truly one of the best YouTube videos I’ve seen in years just as cute as it could be.
