No idea what it is, but I have a nice new one in a bag.

It’s 7 feet of bicycle chain mounted to a steel cable that’s maybe 3/16” and probably 7 feet long too. The other end of the steel cable has a single link.

What is it?

I feel like it has something to do with a garage door opener but mine do not have cable sections, all links.

Yes. Only difference is a single link is mounted in the loop.
