Given the description of the issue, just hit it harder with a mallet or sledge hammer. There really is no magic method. If truly hard hits don't do anything you can try a little heat, but its not really normally necessary or useful. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

No , I saw those but the conversation quickly turned into how to remove a stuck bolt.

Unless someone has the ability to freeze time/threads (only a few with those superpowers here....) maybe it makes more sense to change titles with something like: UPDATE IN 10:12p POST ON PAGE 2 or whatever. Newsflash - the last post is a moving target, and is sometimes pages beyond what the OP is trying to point folks to. This is not rocket surgery, this is concept of time. Hell, in this case it's not even the last post of the OP in their own thread! /sillyrantoff You only have integrity once. - imprezaguy02

So you have the nut off and are just trying to slide the bolt out of a hole that is NOT threaded. I'm thinking sledge+punch, but a photo of the situation would help. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
