You are responsible for the hookers and blow.

The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

For my only experience as a best man, I carried the ring, of course. Their honeymoon destination was a secret to most of us, but I paid for and had the bride's father (who knew where) to arrange for champagne to be waiting in their hotel suite, wherever it was.

I only agreed to it with the understanding that I don't do public speaking.

He still tried to wiggle a speech in. Nixed. Maybe he regrets asking.

Why not pre record it and have the caterer or the band leader, or the DJ, plug it in and play it when you give the high sign. Voila!! Speech without public speaking

If you are older and not into bachelor's party, i think you still have to do some party like pizza and beer or an outing to whatever activity you can come up with. Just invite the other men in the wedding party. And you can also rope one or two of them to plan it out and help you with the arrangements.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
