Waiting for Hachiko
| I used to go to the nearest store, which is at Lynchburg,Va. It's where I bought most of my suits and dress clothes. It was nice back then. Not sure what it's like now.

| Dillards is better for shirts. I enjoyed shopping at Kohl’s for years. Retail today saddens me. I was at Circuit City corporate in the good old days.

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged!
| I despise Kohl's entire sales model. Mark everything up way high, then have constant "sales" that don't even bring the price down to equivalent items at other stores, then give out "Kohl's cash" you have to use in like 10 days, but you have to buy a certain amount to use the cash, and ON AND ON.
It's stupid and designed for morons and I refuse to take part in it. Give me a good price consistently without all the bullshit and I'll consider shopping there.
I buy jeans at a local outfitter (Ward's Apparel in Mooresville, Indiana) that has all sizes and colors. I buy khakis on Amazon, which has all the sizes, colors, and cuts. I also buy Hanes Beefy Pocket T's online.
I will admit I got some nice Van Heuson Flex Polos at Kohl's in 2019 because a female acquaintance gave a few of them to me them for my birthday and I bought some extras. She likes to shop and is pretty good at it, and goes to Marshall's, TJ Max, and Nordstrom Rack a lot, and also some nicer stores at the higher end mall. |

What is the soup du jour?
| I used to go in and buy clearance store brand polos for five or six bucks a pop. Last few times I’ve left empty-handed. |

| my experience is opposite. Kohl's in California was like Mervyn's just before they closed. Many cheap stuff and plenty of it. We never really went there other than the first few times about 5 years ago. Then we moved to Prescott and there aren't Macy's. There is a Kohl's and when we went there, it looked like Macy's.

Lighten up and laugh
| Dress shirts are expensive and out of stock a lot of places. Two larger brands who used to make decent shirts have really dropped in quality... unless you want to pay a lot more for their expensive offerings.
Ties were another thing this year that was really hard to find. JC Penny's used to have a few hundred ties on their site and had 40 at most this year. The stores who had them didn't mark them down either.
I think quite a few stores are struggling with inventory issues right now. |

| I have not shopped at Kohls since they became "woke" and jumped on the anti-President Trump bandwagon by banning Mike Lindell the pillow guy products from their stores. Fuck them, Target and any other anti-American company. |

| The wife likes to go there. It isn't all that bas as far as retail stores go now days. Inventory is decent but like most all stores today - no real sales personnel. It could be worse. |

Honestly not too many places to buy clothes around here. I usually buy a few things a year at sportsman’s warehouse otherwise a quick (1 hour) road trip down to the anthem outlet complex is my go to for clothes |

| My wife managed a department store for 30 years, she's retail oriented. I asked her about the local Kohl's and she echoed PASig, it's gone downhill and she won't go back. We have limited shopping where I live so that's a loss. _ _______________________________ "Nature scares me" a quote by my friend Bob after a rough day at sea. |

Thanks for the tip. We saw the shops when we went for Veterans Day but it didn't sink in with me.

I used to get Kohls basic solid dress shirt for $10-20 and get a year out of them. I’ve had to change to JC Penney’s Stafford Super shirts ordered online. Not the most comfortable collars but at least the fabric isn’t transparent. Kohls are way thinner if you can even find them. If anyone ever sees a great sale on Eton I hope they share it. |

Van Heusen wrinkle free fitted shirts for $16-$20 on sale used to be decent bargain dress shirts, but now they iron like crud. You go over a part and when you move the shirt it wrinkles right up like the cheap brands. Very disappointing. It just happened in the last year or so. |

| I've been inside a Kohl's one time. It had the appearance of being slightly upscale from Wal-Mart. Looking closely, however, it sold basically the same stuff as Wal-Mart but at much higher prices.
I also detest sales models of constant "sales". |
