Assange gave us the HRC emails…

“LONDON (AP) — British police arrested WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London on Thursday, after the South American nation decided to revoke the political asylum that had given him sanctuary for almost seven years.

London police said they were invited into the embassy by Ecuador’s ambassador. Assange took refuge in the embassy in 2012 after he was released on bail while facing extradition to Sweden on sexual assault allegations that have since been dropped.

Assange has been under U.S. Justice Department scrutiny for years for Wikileaks’ role in publishing thousands of government secrets and was an important figure in the special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe as investigators examined how WikiLeaks obtained emails stolen from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and Democratic groups…”

Has to be some sort of record, 7 years of self imposed position in one building. Now comes the extradition arguments between Sweden & the UK. Get the popcorn, it’s about to get interesting...

^^^ Not necessary. The charges in Sweden were dropped. The police in London arrested him on behalf of the United States.

Now that he's in custody, it'll be interesting to see what they charge him with and what he will say.
This may be like the dog that finally caught the car.
Careful what you wish for.

I’m hoping he had a plan to release much more now that he’s arrested.

Ecuador stated today they had received a guarantee from the U.K. that Assange would not be extradited to a country where he could face the death penalty, according to Reuters. Yep, Sweden did drop its charges against him. Should be interesting moving it forward. Wonder what Ecuador obtained and from who for keeping him in their embassy. Would love to see the visitors log over the last 7 years Wink

I doubt it unless, of course, Clinton was president. Trump has to realize Assange has been his savior. Assange has always claimed to have an insurance key in place to release even more documents and WikiLeaks has a succession plan. Wiki has continued to leak during the years he has spent in the embassy.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was charged Thursday with conspiracy to commit computer intrusion for aiding Chelsea Manning in the cracking of a password to a classified U.S. government computer in 2010, the U.S. Justice Department announced hours after Assange's arrest in London. Assange is accused of engaging in a conspiracy with Manning, the former U.S. Army officer, in breaking a password stored on a U.S. Defense Department computer connected to a U.S. government computer network for classified documents and communications, the Justice Department said. Manning later transmitted a trove of classified government files to Assange, whose website posted the materials to a worldwide audience. Cracking the password allowed Manning to use a different username "rather than her own,” officials said.

How is this not beyond the statute of limitations, when the alleged crime happened in 2010 and the indictment wasn't handed down until eight years later?

No shit. I can’t believe how many folks on the right (mostly RINOs) want him imprisoned or worse. The left hates him too, because he brought down their Queen HRC.

Notice how no one ever disputes the authenticity of his information, they only throw a hissy that he released that info.

What actions Trump takes with him will determine if Trump is re-elected, IMO. If Assange is found guilty of some kinda BS & imprisoned, I believe that will severely damage Trumps chances in 2020.

I only wish we had dozens more Assange’s out there, revealing all the dirty little secrets of our out-of-control criminal politicians.

Assange was arrested because he attacked the machine. The Deep State does not like being dragged into the light.

Ever since the Pentagon Papers case, I'm not sure anyone's ever really worried about the consequences of publishing material that someone else obtained. I don't think Julian's in anywhere near the same situation Bradley (or Reality Winner *snicker*) was.
