Spring fly fishing anyone?
Went out and hit the Logan River her in Utah. Its a gem of a river and it rates a Blue Ribbon fishery ranking here in Utah.

This was a Bear river cutthroat around 16 inches long. He was taking Blue Wing Olive emergers on the far side of the river. It probably took 200 casts until I managed to float one perfectly i front of him.

The Logan is my favorite river. Deep runs and lots of pocket water too. The water is crystal clear and the bugs are plentiful. The river is also big enough that you can always fond some secluded places for you social distancing needs.

Lets see some pictures of the fish you have caught and the places you like to fish.

Headed out tomorrow to fish the Little Red River in Arkansas. It is a wonderful Rainbow and Brown Trout Trophy River. I've been fishing it with the same guide for 20+years. Never a dull moment with him.

Very jealous, over here. I've only been out twice this late winter/early spring. It has rained *just* consistently enough here to keep the streams either high, murky, or both.
I'm hoping that this week is when that breaks, and I can get out and chase some Rainbows and Browns in southern WV.
If not...I'm booking a flight to Utah. Big Grin

Looks beautiful there. I love fly fishing. I don't get to do it much, but it's a blast.

That's my kind of fishing. Very nice. We'll be hitting Crab Creek in a few weeks.

Fly fishing here in Montana nearly everyday. Just caught my personal best rainbow at 29 inches and 9lbs.

That is a beauty.

Hoping to get out this week. Usually hit the Lamprey or the Cocheco before the stripers show up next month.

Had my annual spring steehead trip cancelled by the 'rona. State and national forest campgrounds shut down, no travel to second residences up north. And the natives are downright hostile to anyone coming up from down state.

We usually spend 3 days flyfishng for steelies every spring.
