Starting a car that has been abandoned for two years....
Turn the key on for 5 seconds a few times to let the fuel pump build pressure and start it.

UPDATE:

We checked the fluids and brought a charger. Gave it a shot but no go.

Then we called the Auto Club Service and they sent a Mechanic that was supposed to bring a new battery for the specific car model. Showed up, was informed of the car history and tried the exact same things we had. No joy.
Gave us some advise on things to do next, like having it towed to a shop...

We are considering it. Not much else to do.
We will get a battery on our own and see.
We are wondering if the car has not been intentionally disabled so it will sell for a lower price. Couple of interested parties in the building and the car had been left open for a long time.

The car looks real nice and well kept if not almost new.

Will keep you posted, if anyone is interested.

I looked on Utube and there are some videos of car starting problems.
Has it been locked to keep people out?
Does the engine turn over at all?

We found out about the existence of the car early this year. It was left open since late 2017 (inside the building“s garage).

We watched the videos too.

Nope, with the electrical side of things apparently up and running, the engine did not give any signs of hope.

Yep. Electrical system makes everything light up inside the cab but zippo noise from the starter? Pulling the right wire will make that happen. If nothing lights up, it is even easier. A middle-aged auto mechanic would spot it moments.

The starter sounds Ok.
The mechanical part is the one not showing the proper attitude and enthusiasm...

Crankcase position sensor. Fuel pump relay.

Sheesh .... I agree with bathtime .....

I agree. My old Police Interceptor Crown Vic sat for five years before I decided to get rid of it.
I put a fresh battery in, turned the key on and she was running. I then went to the gas station and topped up the tank and then drove it 30 miles to deliver it to a friend.

No issues.
I did check all the fluids before starting it up. I told the guy who got it to change the oil right away.

Can you yank on the pulley connected to the flywheel and see if the engine turns by hand?

Are you saying the starter is turning the engine and it's cranking but not starting, or that the starter is clicking but the engine isn't turning over.

Check fuses see if any are missing or blown such as a fuel pump fuse, as you said someone could have taken fuses out for themselves or messed with it.

Do you have access to an OBDII port reader to scan the ECM, here we can borrow them at car parts stores for no charge.
