You have to keep in mind that everything IKEA sells is the minimalist European design/look and is not going to be the same as traditional American stuff.

KevHSo we went to the local Ikea store today. I actually like the way the stuff looks. The appliances are primarily made in the US by Whirlpool.
I used the design your own feature on the website and for the entire kitchen, including appliances (except the refrigerator which I already have), with the exception of the countertop, was right around $8000.
I don't think anywhere else with the quality and warranty come close to that.
