Impressive air traffic controller on the green dot camera. He makes it look and sound easy.

Thanks for the link.

The controllers who work Oshkosh are something else! I’ve worked fly-ins but nothing to this scale! It also helps when the pilots know what they are doing!

Situation awareness is defined as a continuous extraction of environmental information, integration of this information with previous knowledge to form a coherent mental picture in directing further perception and anticipating future events. Simply put, situational awareness mean knowing what is going on around you.

Most of them seem to be with the program. Yesterday during a rush, there was a crusty old bastard that inisited he wanted to land on 18 the approach to which would have taken him right over 27, the busiest runway in the world yesterday. They sent him to the tower freq and they straightened him out quickly.

If one was to attend Oshkosh on Friday having never been there before, what should I make sure that I do or don’t do? How much time does it take to check out all of the planes, how is parking, etc, etc?
