I respect the fact that he served

there were hundreds of POW's that returned home and were productive members of society

McStain isn't one of them

pathetic piece of garbage

At what point does his service get trumped by his pissing on our country?

He rode "war hero" for 40+ years at the trough, enriching himself immensely while he damaged and weakened the country. The best thing he can do for the country is assume room temperature.

http://www.breitbart.com/video...doocy-dumb-question/

Tuesday Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) criticized Fox News’ Peter Doocy for asking him if he would oppose everything that President Donald Trump asked of him.

Doocy asked, “Has your relationship with the president frayed to the point that you are not going to support anything that he comes to you and asks for?”

McCain shot back, “Why would you say something that stupid? Why would you ask something that dumb? Huh?”

He continued, “My job as a United States senator, is a senator from Arizona which I was just re-elected. You mean that I am somehow going to behave in a way that I’m going to block everything because of some personal disagreement?”

He added, “That’s a dumb question.”

sadly, it is a very appropriate question given McCain's statements and recent votes.

We have obamacare today because of John McCain.

The age thing sounds good but might be harder to get through.
We might be better served by requiring they all be tested for mental competence. And being treated for Alzheimer's.... sorry, but see ya. Enjoy your retirement.

The guy was and is a supreme asshole. His nickname in high school was "Mc Nasty".

Yep!

I would!

Well - he did start a pretty big fire on the USS Forrestal during Vietnam. Good thing daddy/Admiral put it out for him.

For the love of all that is sane, McCain did not start the goddamned fire on the USS Forestall, a rocket inadvertently fired from stray voltage off an F-4.

Hang the man for his sins, Lord knows he has many, but stop damning a man for things he did not do.

I worked F-4s and the issue with switching from external to internal, cycling the generators, often caused voltage drops and surges.

And why ordnance pins, and tank pylon pins were not pulled until after cycling to internal electrical power.

The Forestall event also required "stray voltage checks" on all carts and other jettison-able systems before arming (explosive carts).

"Trial by Fire" explains the USS Forrestal fire. And SigMonkey states it well...it was not McCain's fault.

To blame the deaths of his shipmate's deaths is completely out of line.

I am no fan of McCain, but he is not to blame.

Yeah, that's the typical excuse. But, the time to get rid of the POS was in the primary, which Arizonians have failed, repeatedly. You can't tell me that Hayworth and Ward are worse than this stain.
