I have gotten some good information from a few of their videos, and in general are better than just choosing something at random from YouTube.

Shit, AFAIC, they can put it back like it was before that. I knew how to navigate it and find what I was looking for.

I miss their coupon page, too.

I didn't know that. If their overhaul didn't include major upgrades to their underlying servers, storage, server application technology, and networking infrastructure, that could explain their continued slowness and primitive functionality. I wanted to pull the trigger yesterday on a bigger order to save shipping, but they had less than half of what I wanted in stock. hmmm. I still think they have the one of the best real smithing tools selection and know-how on the planet.

A few years back I bought a DD 5.56 barrel that was being discontinued for a great price. When the box arrived it would have held 20 of those barrels. The was a small open area at the top corner, and somehow all I got was an empty box. I was about to write off buying from Brownells, but i called CS and explained what I got. Long story short, as soon as they could package another one up, it arrived on my doorstep. Also bought a barreled Howa action for about $250 bucks. Honestly have had nothing but positive experiences with Brownells.

I’ve been a Brownell’s user for more than 25 years. Lately, the things I’m after are on back order or not in stock. I still go there, but don’t end up purchasing as much from them as I used to.

They sell quality tools. Back in the early 1980s I bought a basic gunsmith toolkit from them. The tools have never failed me to this day, and they work flawlessly.

I have purchased several tools from them in the past and the quality was always outstanding. The only negative was the out of stock, on back order situations which seemed frequent. Even so, they would get those items back in stock fairly quickly.

Midwest Gun Works is my usual #1 stop for gun parts. Then again, I am usually looking for something on a Browning so Art's and MGW are first. Personally never really noticed a difference between Brownell's, Numrich, and Midway, but I don't order a ton of stuff.

Over the past few years, MGW has really come into their own. I like them as much or even more than Brownells these days. For me, and I'm sure for others a well, Brownells holds a lot of nostalgia (remember the thick, heavy catalogues they used to issue?) but MGW has made a name for themselves.

Yes, Midwest Gun Works is an excellent vendor. I recently purchased several P320 parts that I couldn't find at Brownells.
