Where’s the sarcasm meme?
Are we making fun of peoples likes now? Take that crap, roll it tight and shove it.
I have all their studio stuff in multiple formats, digital and analog, I have a small maxi-single collection, I’ve seen them live and quite frankly, if you don’t like them I think you must have no taste.
My 3 favorite songs are:
Return Post
Watching the Sky
Following
If you can listen to those three songs and still have a negative opinion then you’re hopeless.
You can't claim The Bangles are your favorite band ever and not expect a little ribbing for it. And if you can't take a little friendly ribbing, then I've misjudged you and sincerley apologize for my mistake.
I don't have a negative opinion of them nor did I say I didn't like their music. In fact, last week I played one of their videos for one of the classes I subbed for because I couldn't believe the kids had never heard of them.
I didn't post a favorite band myself. How do you pick one? However, since I hopelessly only know three chords and have no taste I'll pick AC/DC.

Scooter123When I was a freshman at Ohio State I lived in Morril Tower which was basically a Faraday Box. You could not receive any commercial broadcast radio. What you could get was the Campus Radio Network which was basically run by student volunteers. So the AM Jock Like to start off every single day with Stairway to Heaven. To say I loathe Led Zeppelin is an understatement.
So what do I like. Well the Beatles were a rather good band as were the Beach Boys.
I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd, IMO no other band can even approach Pink Floyd for the extended period for which they were producing superb music. From Dark Side of the Moon to Division Bell without one single clinker of an album.
Another band that doesn't get any real recognition today is Slade, which has been named as a major influence for a rather large multitude of bands. Spend some time listening to Slade and you'll come to understand why they had so much influence on Punk, heavy Metal, and plain old Pop Rock. Heck, if you did deep enough you can probably find traces of Slade's work in the Bangles.
Then there is Who, they have an enviable body of work and those who think that they are not Hard Rock really needs to sit down and listen to Live at Leeds from start to finish.
I've stopped counting.

The older I get, the less I listen to them.
So much of their music sounds the same. Lots of ripping off of the old blues guys.
