armedprofMy favorite ever.... Tesla. Their entire library rocks.
But to say they are "better" than any other band would be a misstatement. Music is so subjective. Tesla is my favorite of all time, but there are so many that are amazing. Music speaks to the soul and the songs that speak to you should never be judged.

Tgrshrk99As someone who tries to play the piano, I always loved Billy Joel and Elton John. Have seen them both more times than I can count. Elton’s band is ridiculously good.
But for bands, Van Haled and Def Leppard.

bald1Hard to pick just one... Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Allman Brothers, Traveling Wilburys, Alan Parsons Project, various bands Eric Clapton has been a part of (e,g, The Yardbirds, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek & The Dominos, "his" band, etc.)...
Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club!

GregYThe Police.
Second tier would be Pixies, Chameleons, Cure (Head on the Door +/- a couple of years), Duran Duran, Alice in Chains, Deftones. Pretty much in that order.

doublesharpIf there is only one artist I can hear for the rest of my life it would be Delbert McClinton. Live at Austin or One of the Fortunate Few are great but he's been active in 6 decades so there is much to choose from.
Honorable mention: Stones, saw them on Dean Martin in 63 and have been a fan ever since.
The Band, CCR, Waylon, Merle Haggard, The Allman Brothers and many more.

Finally going to see them live this summer. They canceled a show last May, among the last of the Virus cancellations. As I stated in a thread in the Lair last year, I think they’re the best band to come along in 25 years.

Foo Fighters would be a contender, don't think I've seen them mentioned in this list at all.
