Skins2881Shoot first ask questions later kind of guy I guess. Given his background he is going to get the book thrown at him. He's train ed to identify threats and I assume trained on when to use a gun from both his military training and ccw training.
Big, big mistake. Wow.
Bet the passenger won't be whipping our his piece in public anymore though.

Opus DeiThis article if from the 16th. Doesn't say what the driver's status was. Hell, he might've died since.
I can't figure if the driver had the pistol in the moment and Beaty shot him or if the passenger was in possession of the pistol and Beaty hit the wrong person.

Something just doesn't add up for me.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

jbcummingsThere's a lot that doesn't add up on this one.
U.S. Army Ranger and he goes ballistic on the passenger side of a car with the driver in his line of fire. He unloaded
15 rounds into the passenger
front and rear doors and windows. The car looked like it had been sprayed with a 9mm shotgun. Hits everywhere.
It was dark yet he saw the gun in the car, but apparently couldn't maintain control of his own weapon at that close a range...curious.
The guy he 'thought' was robbing the Uber driver was handcuffed and arrested. The video shown locally showed him being lead away without his shirt wearing a tie draped around his neck (no shirt) and in a pair of dress slacks.
