I suspected that was why my previously over the phone appointments were no longer an option. Not on Medicare. Now instead of a 10 minute phone call at work I’ve got to take at least two hours off to go to the doctor’s office for a ten minute chat.

Just one more reason I would rather stay on my current plan than be forced onto Medicare next month. It's cheaper and better by far. Even the supplement plan from a 3rd party is totally regulated by the federal government. But I am not allowed to do that.

I will be continuing the subscription plan with my doctor, who doesn't take Medicare, and who is readily available in person or by phone. As long as I don't need to go to the hospital, I don't need f'n Medicare.

Any politician pushing Medicare For All should be tarred and feathered.

That's crap. I wonder what happened here? You think they would want to go MORE into this and not away from it unless physical doctors office practices had some sort of lobby to get this changed.

We have a telehealth pediatrician service called Blueberry Pediatrics that has been an absolute Godsend for people like us with a crappy HDHP. Now when one of the kids gets an ear infection or something like that we can have them diagnose via video or phone (we have an otoscope for the ears) and can get a prescription or some other remedy right from them instead of having to pack a sick kid off to the pediatrician then get a $200 bill afterwards. Costs a couple hundred a year.
