Lake Ontario and my sanity
Lake Ontario is my escape, my therapy. Helps keep me balanced.

Photo taken the other night a few miles offshore.

Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.

Nice, for those that love the water. There is nothing else like it.

I went for a ride on the waverunner this morning on the little puddle I live on. Every social stop except two had pretty girls. No pictures, sorry.

Looking due west down Lake Erie from Van Buren Point, NY right in front of the family cottage built by my WWI US Marine great-great uncle and my grandfather, back in the 1930's.

WOW! These posts conjure up memories of Sandy Pond, Selkirk State Part, and other "haunts" of my youth on Lake Ontario.

I thought that pier looked familiar! We boat up the Genesee River there sometimes. I live about 12 miles east.

My folks used to own a place on Henderson Harbor. I spent a lot of time up that way.

Interesting. My folks owned a large lake front spread on Romana Beach adjacent to Selkirk.

Gorgeous photos!!!
They remind me of our one excursion to the Boundary Waters when we lived in Minnesota. Had to fight off the swarms of the state bird, of course, but got a few beautiful sunset photos while in a canoe at sunset.

Nice pics. Looks wonderfully serene. I am more of a Lake Michigan guy myself but I totally understand your love of a north lake especially in the summer.

Not a lake, but the most amazing sunrise I experienced. It was at Haleakala National Park in Maui, Hawaii. You are watching the sunrise at 10,000 feet elevation above the clouds. It is very difficult to even have a chance at being able to get a ticket to be up there to experience it. I got lucky.

I always thought the Great Lakes were just large bodies of fresh water... until I saw them all in person. Spectacular views. Thanks to all for posting your pics.

Nice! Our family frequented the same spots. Summers were fun back in the 60’s.
