Today is primary day, and will determine whether or not my run for Rensselaer County Sheriff continues on. I feel like I’ve done a pretty good job, and know that I’ve done the absolute best that I can. I’ve gone from a long shot to a 50/50 chance of winning by all accounts, so I’m incredibly proud. I feel like I’ve learned a lot, not all of it good, some of it absolutely terrible, but also met some amazing people along the way. I really hope that things go well today. Not only because I really want to be sheriff and think that I would do a great job, but also because I would love to be able to build upon what I’ve learned in this race. I truly have no interest in any other elected position, so I doubt that I would ever run for another office, but I feel like it would be a waste if I didn’t use all the new knowledge that I’ve learned along the way. So hopefully, I get to continue this quest as the Republican nominee for Sheriff. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers! And my deepest heartfelt thanks to all from SIGforum that have supported me on this journey!
