I happen to agree with you. The upcoming generations have a level of access to information that is totally and completely unparalleled by anything in history. If they choose to be, they can be more informed than just about any of us on any given matter, barring that which comes from experience rather than what can be read or observed. Wisdom is a time thing and being smarter is an issue of potential, but there’s no question that a 14 year old today could know what she knows.

George Carlin had an incisiveness and wit that was often very expressed in a very profane manner, but he found a way to make a cogent point about almost anything he wanted to. The profanity added emphasis and helped focus the audience. This young lady reminds me of him.

All that said, a part of me thinks there’s an older sibling writing the script and doing the video editing. Like, college age at least.

Didn’t learn anything new but it was thoroughly entertaining. Start making threats online to kill the president then see just how much power words have. As you get arrested try and convince them that they shouldn’t have chosen to be offended by the words. The fact is that words do have meaning and consequences. She may impress some people but she’s just a kid and the parents are using her to make money, even if she denies it. Nothing about her impressed me, it’s a shame people can’t see through it. Now go ahead and start telling me how dumb I am for not liking her and that I’m holier than thou. I think you missed the point, largely. Nobody claimed words don’t have some sort of power, it was implied that our own emotional response (or lack there of) is our own responsibility. It is not illegal for her to be profane, so I don’t think your example fits the situation.

She can choose to use whatever language she wants. I can choose to be offended by it or not.
