Av8nShooterAnother member of the Greatest Generation left us this week.
My condolences on your loss. Thank you for sharing some of your father’s inspirational life story.
I am also a descendant of parents who were part of the greatest generation. A generation raised through the hardships of the Great Depression and a horrible World War. Our generation was fortunate to benefit directly from their life experiences and their love and devotion to God, Country and family. I dearly miss my parents, aunts and uncles and their friends who were part of our early lives. I feel obligated to share their stories with the grandchildren and hope they can appreciate at least a small part of the hardships which that generation endured and the contributions they made to the world.
Again, my sympathy for your loss. May you find comfort in fond memories of your father.

Chick did it right. He loved his parents, served his country, loved his wife and kids, he raised us right and loved God. He got 98 years. He always said he was lucky, but I think God smiled on Dad, and through Dad on us, too.
God bless him for living right and God bless you and your family during your time of grief. My deepest condolences for your loss.
