The Flying Scotsman. This is one of the best racing documentaries I’ve ever seen. A glimpse into the world of downhill racing.
I stumbled across this on the YouTube. I clicked it out of curiosity since the title of the video is interesting. For someone like me with ADD I wasn’t expecting to watch the entire documentary on the edge of my seat. This is a fantastic documentary and will give you a rare glimpse of the mental struggles and challenges professional racers go through in the 100% insane sport of downhill racing.
I love that this wasn’t even originally filmed with the intention of becoming a documentary. I was wondering if they raced in the USA while watching this and oh man was I thrilled to see Snowshoe WV show up on the world tour and play a pivotal part in the story.
If you like biking, racing or going fast you might enjoy this, I definitely did.
The guy has a pretty damn cool accent and his story is fun.

Is this about Graeme Obree?
A movie was done with Johnny Miller playing the lead some years back.

Reminds me of this urban downhill video I saw a few days ago. They used a drone camera to trail the rider the whole ride. Looks like a video game POV brought to life.

Iron Chef, thank you for posting that!!! Whoa man! I was cheering like the Colts were winning the AFC championship game. . Was someone piloting that drone? That footage was just fricking INCREDIBLE! That was AWESOME!!!!
Racing is a mental sport. When I raced my first legit race I messed up, I psyched myself out and ended up nearly crashing after slipping off my pedal in a berm fighting for 1st place. I recovered to 2nd and advanced in my heat. BUT I also managed to assess my competition and realize I was better than them and didn’t lose a race after that. I love the mental aspect of racing and I like how this documentary doesn’t stay away from that subject.

Yes, someone was piloting the drone. I won't say it requires as much skill as these insane downhill riders, but piloting and capturing that footage was no easy task. There's a link in that video to the 'making of' that shows the logistics involved.
Here's another vid - same course, same rider but from his first-person helmet camera.

I raced offroad motorcycles in the woods for 20 years. These guys are crazy! Great video.
