Once picked up a "cleared" AK and cleared it once again before handling it and out popped a live round. That was my "Mulligan".


Never understood the reasoning behind a "press check". Why would anyone intentionally take a pistol out of battery? Once it's loaded, leave it alone. Do people "press check" between strings of fire?
