Help! Help! I'm being repressed! |
I know there are a lot of folks on the board interested in space exploration. I found this video quite interesting. A quick run down of the video. Destin sees issues with the Artemis program and traces them back to people being afraid to speak up.

NASA hasn't changed its culture one bit. _________________________________________________________________________ “A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is. It is the crucial test. None but the humane treat a cat well.” -- Mark Twain, 1902

Have very good friends that work at NASA; one particularly on the Artemis Project. He has neither confirmed nor denied there are issue with the safety culture at NASA and how it may or may not be interfered with by government and it's total bullsh*t. Y'all can probably draw your own conclusions as to where the truth lies..... "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Triggers don't pull themselves |
I enjoy the Smarter Every Day channel quite a lot. Seems like there are a lot of unanswered questions even though we are in a more technologically advanced time. I have doubts that they’ll meet the current launch calendar. Makes me appreciate all of those old ‘slide rule’ engineers even more.

Woke up today.. Great day! |
That was fantastic and scary at the same time. I’m watching his videos in the future.

Tim Dodd of Everyday Astronaut fame who was chosen to be part of the Artemis II crew has a long response to Destin's presentation. https://twitter.com/Erdayastro...njXny3Bz9k8Fr_g&s=19

Savor the limelight |
I enjoyed the video, thanks for posting it. I'm going to check out some of his other videos because I think my kids could find them interesting. This cracked me up: “…the transmission in his old truck. Is that thing running by the way?” "Not yet." “Not yet? It’s kinda like, well never mind…" Bazinga! The other thing that stuck out was his dad making him take a marketing class. It reaffirms advice I was given here by other members when I asked the forum for advice on my oldest son’s choosen major. A lot of people said he should take some communications classes and business classes.

Very impressive. That was a master class on how to get your point across without alienating your audience.

Knows too little about too much |
Excellent. I thought he stuck it to them in certain areas where the complexity of parts of their plans was likely more of a technology demo than a necessity. Thanks, RMD TL Davis: “The Second Amendment is special, not because it protects guns, but because its violation signals a government with the intention to oppress its people…” Remember: After the first one, the rest are free.

Invest Early, Invest Often |
Very interesting video. To me the Moon project is like everything the Government does, spending someone else's money. Not in it to turn a profit. If they spend all the money, they just ask for more. And no one is held responsible for failures.
