For Howard Wasteofsperm to have a downfall implies that he was up at some point.

Never liked the man. This goes way back to his FM radio days. WMMR in Philadelphia had a DJ named John DeBella. He was goofy/funny as the morning DJ. DeBella had a pretty good market share until he engaged a battle with Stern. Stern won the battle and was, let's say an ungracious winner (aka asshole) to DeBella. IMHO DeBella didn't deserve the treatment he got from Stern.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

The op's link is 5 months old. Yes, Stern has gone downhill, but he is still in the game. He just signed a new three year contract with SiriusXM last month.

Take a look at his personal history. His book Private parts provides clues. Secondly, Howard has serious psychological issues including OCD.
Times change and people get tired of adolescent low brow humor. As an example, Andrew Dice Clay is no longer a headliner.

I used to listen to him occasionally in the 90’s back when he was somewhat entertaining. Now, he has become an absolutely pathetic excuse for a man. That whole Covid crap he spewed was nauseating and the TDS is worse. Good riddance to this “man.”

He turned into a pitiful man.

Once he was a little on the edge and entertaining but success as with many has went to his head and he lost direction.

As the antithesis look at Rush Limbaugh (RIP oh great one) who never lost focus even to the end.

Both were instrumental in Radio.

True, but at least he (ADC) was mature enough to move on to a respectful acting career. Stern was and is a vile person who refused to ever grow up beyond the "shock jock" persona. He's a loser. A very rich loser, but still a loser.

Hey Howard! It's not the 80s anymore. Grow up.

I was such a fan back in the day. When he left regular radio and went to satellite, those first two years were some of the greatest entertainment I’ve ever heard.

The beginning of his 180’degree change happened was when he met Beth. She wanted to be Hollywood famous and mingle with the beautiful people, Howard hired a behind the scenes woman to re-create his character, and soon he was trying to emulate Jimmy Kimmel and be more like him.

Over a period of time he began to change. Eric the Midget became Eric the Actor, Gary the retard became Gary the slow adult, etc. the songs and bits that used to play became buried and Howard pretended he had never heard of them. Random observation… The time they made Gary think that they flew him to the moon had me in near tears.

He wrapped up his feuds with people like Rosie O’Donnell, Jane Fonda, and in many ways turned his back on the fans who made him famous.

If he’s not a billionaire now, he’s probably close and I cannot begrudge him for that. He’s done a great job of continuing to re-create his character and to keep himself relevant, but if he ever stopped to be honest with himself… He’d realize that he has become this generation’s Don Imas, (cat rescue instead of cancer kid ranch) and the Howard from 20 years ago would despise himself for that.

I never liked him. I don't like rude low-class people like that. I was a young marine in the 90's and I was his target demographic. Most of my fellow marines liked him but I never did. IIRC, he would bring Jan Micheal Vincent on as comic relief after his brain injury. Low class.

He's human garbage of the highest order. I could say more, but I'm a Christian and I shouldn't say some thoughts out loud.
