It's frustrating for certain but I am sure those women benefited from getting their ass kicked. That's probably the only positive for them in that whole experience, but at least it is something.

About 35 years ago, I used to hunt with a friend on his deer lease in central TX. Mostly dove. Sometimes when we had to walk up some game it could be rabbits, or even quail (we had no dog). You had to shoulder, aim and fire fast. He was probably firing (with extreme accuracy) about the time I was acquiring the target. Every time. I remember slapping my damn cheek with the buttstock more than once, trying to get quicker. It was not fun really. Not at all.

Years later hunting with another friend, we also were trying to walk up some dove and when we did, I was noticeably faster than even I would have expected. Always getting there first with good accuracy. All those years hunting dove, I never noticed because we always separated each hunter with at least 60+ yards.

Getting your ass handed to you is unpleasant, but it can work to your advantage later for sure.

Didn't our Olympic women's team get their asses handed to them by a U14 boys team a few years back?

Para, I'm saying that they know they can't compete with males. I've never heard any of them ever say that they are as good as the men, even that crazy Raphino. If anyone would be say that it would be her. And it certainly is about more than soccer too. Playing and practicing against stronger and faster men's teams must make it a lot easier when they go back to competing against women.

Equestrian. If you look at Olympic medals in the individual events, women hold a small edge in Dressage; men hold a very large edge in Eventing and Show Jumping, both of which are more physical than Dressage (IMO). But both sexes compete on equal terms and women do outperform the men sometimes.

Check the sex of the horses.

I was surprised at how well the female goalie did,for the most part, as she had no defense and she had some good saves. Of course the men will win and I am not sure who thought the game would go any differently.

The women were fortunate that the goals were smaller than regulation sized ones.

Women can do women's gymnastics better than men. But then it's really girls gymnastics because fully developed women cannot compete against girls, due to various physical differences.

Auto Racing - women have a weight advantage, and a 100 lb female versus a 200 lb male in a 1500 lb race car can make a difference. Most of racing is concentration and stamina, not sheer physical strength. Speed and reflexes are important though. And even when a machine is doing a lot of the work, women are simply NOT competitive in racing. Danica Patrick was the only one who could come close, and she wasn't THAT good.

The men were not shooting at 100% strength. Appeared they were probably going 50-70%. If they went 100%, the slaughter would’ve been even worse.
