He proceeded to tell me...........how wonderful of a parent I am and how he wished all the parents he dealt with were like me. He complimented me on how I was teaching my daughter and relatingit to other things and focusing on safety etc. etc. he thanked me for being a good parent.

I just said my daughter made it easy for me but I have to say I was humbled and proud.

It's always nice getting a compliment, especially when it's really meaningful. Good job!

We need a lot more parents like the OP! Teach their kids about guns, gun safety, marksmanship, etc. Getting down to fundamentals, this is the attitude that keeps us free.

Mainly we need more social workers who don’t run from the sound of guns.

I had to take my son out of school for a doctor appointment. We had some time to kill, so we went and looked at a LGS. They had a Mini 14 my son wanted. Told the guy I needed to talk to my son.

So my son and I walked around the store, just to explore our options. He was paying 50% of this rifle. We decided to buy it.

Went back to the counter, and my son told the salesman we'd buy it. My son looked at him, told him he had to leave school early for a doctors appointment, but ended up with a rifle.

The clerk looked at him and said, "That sounds like a great Friday to me." Big Grin
