My new Matag washer has a 10 year warranty on the drum and motor. Only a one year warranty on everything else. I know the touch control panel will be the first thing to go.

Yea that was the make machine I saw it on. Read reviews on Lowes website for a washer by Maytag that had a high number of reviews avg. about 4.5 out of 5.

I have an International Harvester freezer from 1952 in my garage. The damn thing won't die. I have a 6 year old Samsung in my kitchen who's ice is crap and I can't wait until it dies in a year or so.

Such is true, but the international harvester doesn't make any ice at all! Big Grin

I would concur. My Maytag front loader is probably 15 years old. They do 3-4 loads a week. At about the 5 year point, the control board on the washer took a crap. I spent around $150 for a new one and it’s worked fine since.

I feel mighty lucky I haven’t had to replace an appliance in over 10 year.
